Introducing Coach Jacob Wilson
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
INDIANAPOLIS, IN– Raymer Strength is pleased to announce that our coaching staff is growing! Our new strength coach, Jacob Wilson, is joining our program starting mid-January.
“Coach Wilson is going to bring an exciting level of energy to our team. His background in endurance sports will provide a fresh perspective to how we approach programming and outreach for athletes in that field. I’m excited to welcome him aboard and can’t wait to introduce him to everyone,” says Jeremy Raymer, CEO & Head Coach.
Wilson graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree– majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Computer Science. A former cross country and track athlete in high school, Wilson pursued Weightlifting as a means to increase his performance, continue his passion for the sport, and stay engaged in athletics while studying in college. It worked almost too well– Wilson quickly fell in love with the science of sports performance and decided to pursue the field for his professional career.
“I’m looking forward to coaching at Raymer Strength as I get the opportunity to coach athletes and others in reaching their fitness goals, while also continuing to grow in my own experience and knowledge,” says Wilson. “I am also excited to have the chance to work alongside other great coaches and work together to add to a positive environment while promoting not only physical strength, but mental strength as well.”
Wilson recently finished an internship with Lebanon High School’s Strength and Performance Department where he got hands-on experience coaching and programming for large groups of high school athletes.
When he’s not coaching, he’s usually either being active with other sports, hiking a local trail, messing around on a computer, playing the marimba, or spending time with his wonderful fiancé, Aubrey.
Coach Wilson will be hitting the ground running with a few of our current athletes, but he will have immediate openings in his training schedule to welcome new people to our team.
So… if you’ve been thinking about training with us, now is the time! Fill out the information below and we’ll be in touch.
