Indianapolis sports performance and rehab facility welcomes first Summer 2024 intern
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
INDIANAPOLIS, IN— Raymer Strength is excited to welcome the first summer 2024 intern!
Meet Jeivan (pronounced JAY-von) Ross!
“I’m excited to have Ross around,” says Coach J, “because he’s already proving to be an avid learner. He’s asking the right questions and providing a different perspective on our processes. We’re going to learn a lot from each other this summer.”
Ross was born and raised in Indianapolis and graduated from Warren Central High School. He’s currently studying Allied Health and Sports Medicine at Saint Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Florida. He’s on track to graduate from their undergraduate program in 2025, and he’s interested in ultimately pursuing a career in strength and conditioning and physical therapy.
Physical exercise and competition has been a part of Ross’s life throughout his childhood. He participated in many sports growing up— from wrestling and football, to soccer and swimming. While at a national wrestling tournament during middle school, he sustained a shoulder injury. Working with a physical therapist to rehab that injury inspired Ross to pursue a similar career path… one where he could help people get back to what they love to do.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to intern at Raymer Strength and Rehab this summer,” adds Ross. “The environment of the program is something that I want to be a part of, as I continue to learn about the field of strength and conditioning as well as rehab and physical therapy. It doesn’t hurt that Coach J has a similar athletic background (Taekwondo) in a weight class sport like mine (Wrestling).”
If you see Ross during your next time in, make sure you say hello and ask him which major league baseball team he’s rooting for!
