Local Indianapolis Strength and Conditioning Facility Welcomes Spring Coaching Intern

INDIANAPOLIS, IN– Raymer Strength is pleased to announce that Coach Darcey Campbell is joining our coaching team as this spring’s intern. If you see her while you’re training, make sure to give her a warm welcome!

“Coach Darcey is hungry to learn,” says Coach J, CEO and Head Coach at Raymer Strength. “She’s got a pure perspective on the performance industry which gives both Coach Eddie and I an opportunity to learn from her while we’re also mentoring her. through her internship.”

This is the first time Raymer Strength has had the chance to give back formally to the young kinesiology community through a university internship.

“I couldn’t be more proud that this first formal opportunity was through my alma-mater, IUPUI,” noted Coach J.

Coach Darcey is an Indy native and North Central High School graduate. Darcey began her undergraduate career at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, but COVID-19 brought her back home to continue her Kinesiology education locally at IUPUI.  She grew up with two sisters, and when she’s not studying, going to class, or coaching at Raymer Strength, she’s spending time with her energetic German Shepherd puppy, Zuko.

“I’m looking forward to my time at Raymer Strength mostly because this is my chance to go beyond the textbooks,” remarks Coach Darcey. “As a hands on learner, I have been anticipating this part of my journey since I got my first college acceptance. I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned thus far and put it to use as a part of the team.”

Growing up, Coach Darcey always had an interest in sports as well as wellness, so while her ultimate dream-job is undecided, she hopes to work for an athletic program in some capacity after she graduates.

Raymer Strength is a sports performance training facility located on the border of Indianapolis and Fishers at 96th Street and Allisonville Road. Raymer Strength’s qualified and experienced coaches work with athletes from all over Central Indiana, as well as online from across the nation, helping them achieve their goals of becoming better athletes.
